The Talk Series is a chance to join an audience that loves to talk about history. You ask questions, engage in dialogue, share experiences, and get inspired to further explore the characters’ histories before the upcoming live June Festival performances.

These Talks are not costumed performances, but are a chance to engage in discussion with experts on the storied lives of our Season cast of historical characters.

The 2023 Talks will be held on Tuesdays Jan 24, Feb 28, Mar 28, Apr 18, May 9 from 7 – 8:30pm at the Hughes Main Library, 25 Heritage Green Pl, in downtown Greenville.

All events are free.  The programs will also be live-streamed for those that cannot attend in person.

The 2023 Library Talk Series celebrates a 25-year community collaboration between Greenville Chautauqua and the Greenville County Library System co-sponsoring talks about the historical figures that will appear in the June Chautauqua History Comes Alive Festival.

We are currently researching and booking the absolutely best presenters to discuss the characters that will be appearing in the 2023 live Chautauqua performances.

Put us on your calendar and stay tuned for the exciting news of who’s coming to the June Festival and where those shows will be held.
