EVENT UPDATES DURING COVID-19 social distancing

As of April 2020 all live Chautauqua History Alive events have been postponed until the current social distancing guidelines have been changed. (We sure are Reinventing America!)

Current plans for when our government sees the light at the end of the tunnel:

CARRIE CHAPMAN CATT (Women’s Suffrage event) performed by Annette Baldwin, presented by Spartanburg Chautauqua Tuesday August 25 at 7pm at the Spartanburg Headquarters Library. (Depending on Library reopening by that date.)

THE TALKS on Rosa Parks (led by Teresa Cosby,) Thomas Edison and Nikola Tesla (led by Eric Vedeler) and Ben Franklin (led by Larry Bounds) will be rescheduled when the Greenville Library System reopens.

THE JUNE FESTIVAL has been rescheduled for next year June 11-20, 2021. There may be some change in venues, times and dates but most likely the current schedule will remain in place (just moved a year ahead.)

WINTER CHAUTAUQUA 2021. We do hope to present a Winter Chautauqua as we have since 2004. The currently proposed dates are February 5-7, 2021.

FALL EVENTS. We are working on some additional events for when the all clear is given. If you have any suggestions or want to give us any input please contact:
